Day 19 at 12th St. Beach (Planetarium)

The very calm water, open to the lake but congested with patches of ice, reminds me of the haunting scene from the movie Titanic.  I was able to walk all the way up to the waters edge and cover the whole width of the beach, so that a couple who came by later paused and asked if it was OK to continue walking along.

I also had the first opportunity to draw lines through snow directly to solid ice which has formed on the sand.  It's another eerie frozen reference to the freezing of time, sentiment, emotion or memory. 7,000 lines.
